A 6-year-old Michigan boy is home after spending nearly two months hospitalized following a devastating dog attack.
Romell Frazier Jr. survived a life-threatening ordeal that left him without both arms.
His story has shocked the community and left his family grappling with the unimaginable reality of his injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred on March 19, according to reports and a GoFundMe set up for the family.
Romell was reportedly attacked by two family dogs, suffering catastrophic injuries.
In addition to losing both arms, he endured multiple infections and underwent several complex surgeries while fighting for his life in the pediatric ICU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators say the child\u2019s father asked him to go outside and clean the yard while the dogs were in the backyard.
Authorities later reported that the father found Romell unresponsive while the dogs were actively attacking him.
Detroit Animal Care and Control confirmed that the two dogs were surrendered following the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romell\u2019s mother, Preshauna Jones, spoke of the terror she felt upon learning about the attack.
She revealed that her son\u2019s legs were also severely injured and that she feared for his life.
\u201cI thought it was over,\u201d Jones said. \u201cBut my baby stayed in there. He never left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boy\u2019s survival was nothing short of miraculous, given the severity of his injuries.
Every day in the ICU was a battle, with doctors working to stabilize him and prevent infections.
Families and friends watched helplessly, praying that Romell would make it through another night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the surgeries, Romell faced the daunting reality of losing both arms.
He could no longer perform basic tasks that children his age do independently.
His mother became his hands and arms, feeding him and assisting with daily care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romell also had to relearn how to walk during his recovery.
The pediatric rehabilitation team worked tirelessly to help him regain mobility.
