But instead of agreeing, my teacher gave me a small, sympathetic smile and said quietly, \u201cI think you should have a conversation with your mom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole class went silent. At the time, I didn\u2019t fully understand what he meant, but the words stuck with me. That night, I went home and asked my mom about it. She froze, her face pale, and after a long pause, she confessed something that turned my world upside down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It turned out the man I grew up calling \u201cDad\u201d wasn\u2019t my biological father.
