I volunteered to cook for 50 people. I spent the whole day cooking. Then the night before the event, she messaged me that she had to uninvite me but <em>\u201cwanted\u201d<\/em> me to still drop off the food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was stunned. She didn\u2019t even apologize \u2014 just assumed I\u2019d still deliver everything. After hours of chopping, stirring, and packing, I felt completely used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I politely told her I couldn\u2019t deliver food for an event I wasn\u2019t welcome at. She blew up, calling me \u201cselfish.\u201d But the truth is, boundaries matter.
