While on a road trip, an elderly couple decided to stop at a roadside diner for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After finishing their meal, they got back in the car and resumed their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It wasn\u2019t until they had been driving for about forty minutes that the elderly woman realized she had left her glasses on the table at the diner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She informed her husband, and to their frustration, they had to drive quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As they headed back to the diner to retrieve the glasses, the elderly husband transformed into the quintessential grouchy old man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He fussed, complained, and scolded his wife nonstop during the entire drive back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The more he griped, the more agitated he became, refusing to let up for even a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He muttered things like, \u201cThis is ridiculous\u2026 Forty minutes of driving wasted over a pair of glasses! Why don\u2019t you ever check before we leave? You always forget something!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, they arrived at the diner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The wife got out of the car and walked back in to retrieve her glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As she returned and opened the car door, she calmly leaned in and said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
