\u201cHe just had flu-like symptoms,\u201d Connor explained, recalling how his brother\u2019s health seemed to fluctuate. The family never suspected the seriousness of his illness until it was too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Lucas\u2019s father, Brett, called him five days after symptoms began, he noticed his son struggling to speak. Concerned, Lucas\u2019s uncle was sent to check on him at their Isle of Man home, where he found Lucas in critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was rushed to the hospital and placed in an induced coma, but tragically never regained consciousness. His death has left his family devastated and determined to raise awareness about meningitis symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Connor urged others not to dismiss persistent flu-like symptoms and to seek medical advice immediately. \u201cIf you\u2019re worried, take action,\u201d he said. \u201cDon\u2019t just assume it\u2019s nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
