The woman smiled politely and shook her head. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, I paid for this seat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man frowned. \u201cYou\u2019re a grown woman but still very immature,\u201d he muttered, clearly angry. The child\u2019s cries grew louder, and the woman felt the entire row staring. Still, she stayed calm \u2014 she had done nothing wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Halfway through the flight, a flight attendant approached her and asked quietly, \u201cMa\u2019am, could you come with me to the back of the plane for a moment?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her heart dropped. She thought she was about to be scolded or moved. But when they reached the back, the stewardess smiled and said, \u201cWe have an empty seat in business class. You\u2019ve handled yourself with patience and kindness. Please, come sit here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As she settled into the wide, comfortable seat, she looked back and saw the father\u2019s stunned face \u2014 and the little girl still pouting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
