He was staring at me.
Not blinking.
Not pretending to look elsewhere.
Just staring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I shifted, looked out the window, checked my phone \u2014 nothing broke his gaze. My stomach tightened. I decided to get off one stop early just to lose him. The moment the doors opened, I stepped out quickly and blended into the crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt my legs go weak as I realized how close I had come to walking home alone\u2026 with him behind me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
