I was sitting at a bus stop yesterday when a very pregnant woman took a seat beside a tiny 3-year-old boy and his mom. The boy stared at her with the most serious expression, studying her belly like it was the eighth wonder of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After a long pause, he finally spoke:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy do you look so fat?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His mom gasped, mortified. The woman laughed kindly and said, \u201cI\u2019m not fat, sweetheart. I have a baby inside me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boy\u2019s eyes grew huge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA BABY? Is it a good baby?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She smiled. \u201cYes, it\u2019s a very good baby.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He nodded, thinking hard\u2026 then hit her with the most unexpected question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen why did you EAT it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone around us burst out laughing\u2014his mom turned red, the woman nearly cried laughing, and the boy just sat there, completely confused about why adults were losing their minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kids don\u2019t mean to be rude. They just say exactly what they\u2019re thinking\u2014no filter, no hesitation, pure honesty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
