The screen said, <strong>\u201cUnknown Caller,\u201d<\/strong> but the ringtone was unmistakable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With trembling hands, I answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A voice, low and urgent, said, <strong>\u201cDon\u2019t go to the hotel. You\u2019re being watched.\u201d<\/strong><br>Before I could respond, the line went dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My heart pounded. I debated turning around, but curiosity and fear pushed me forward. When I got to the hotel, I saw his name on the check-in list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I asked the receptionist who had checked in. She said, <strong>\u201cA man who looked just like your husband. He even had his ID.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I felt the world spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Had he faked his death? Was someone using his identity?
