What started as an ordinary afternoon in a crowded public square quickly became the kind of scene that makes people stop and look.
A disagreement had become increasingly disruptive, attracting attention from pedestrians and other people nearby.
Within a short time, several bystanders were recording from different angles. Police were called, the immediate situation was eventually brought under control, and the crowd began to disperse.
Once clips from the incident reached social media, a relatively brief public disturbance suddenly had a much larger audience—and people who hadn’t been there began forming strong opinions about what they believed had happened.
The public area was busy when the disturbance began, with families, visitors, and pedestrians moving through the square.
As the situation attracted more attention, some people stopped to watch.
