Obama breaks silence with rare statement after Trump levels ‘treason’ accusations

The former president finally spoke out after Trump accused Obama of attempting to rig the 2020 and 2016 elections, calling Trump’s allegations “a weak attempt at distraction.”

Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush stated, “Our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response out of respect for the office of the presidency.” “However, these assertions are so ludicrous that they deserve one.”

The statement also disapproved of Tulsi Gabbard’s 11-page report, in which she accused officials of the Obama administration of committing a “treasonous conspiracy” and demanded that they be prosecuted.

According to Rodenbush, “nothing in the document released last week challenges the generally acknowledged conclusion that Russia attempted to influence the 2016 presidential election but was unable to successfully manipulate any votes.”

“The bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, under the leadership of then-Chairman Marco Rubio, confirmed these findings in a 2020 report.”

While speaking to reporters and fielding inquiries regarding infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide while in federal custody pending trial, Trump made the assertions from the Oval Office during a meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 22.

The president sidestepped the inquiries and turned the discussion to Obama.
Trump told reporters, “The witch hunt you should be discussing is that they completely caught President Obama off guard.”

He went on to say, “It’s time to go after people, Obama has been caught directly.”

He is guilty, and it’s there. Obama was accused of treason by Trump. They made an effort to obfuscate the election and steal it. Even in other nations, they accomplished things that no one could have predicted.

After US Attorney General Pam Bondi blocked the release of additional Epstein files and denied the existence of a client list, Trump supporters and Barack Obama both think the president is trying to deflect attention from himself. Supporters of MAGA expressed concern over the decision, and the Epstein files emerged as a major theme at the Student Action Summit hosted by Turning Point USA.
