Continuation..

I get really nervous during a pelvic exam. Years ago, my sweet old doctor gave me a little trick. He said, “If you want to distract yourself, just wiggle your toes. Focus on that, and it’ll calm you down.”

It worked perfectly, and I never forgot it.

Fast forward a few years — new city, new doctor. I’m on the exam table, nerves kicking in, so I start wiggling my toes like crazy. Suddenly, the doctor clears his throat and says in a very awkward voice:

“Um… are you… trying to grab me with your feet?”

At that point, I almost DIED of embarrassment — my calming trick had officially backfired! 😂😂
