Miley Cyrus, 32, Opens Up About Her Health Issue

Miley Cyrus has always been open with her fans, but her latest revelation has sparked concern and admiration across the internet. Now 32, the award-winning singer and actress has shared a deeply personal update about a health issue that’s been affecting her behind the scenes.

In a recent interview, Cyrus revealed that she has been dealing with a chronic vocal cord condition—a struggle she’s quietly managed for years. “It’s something I’ve learned to live with,” she said. “But it hasn’t been easy.”

Miley first underwent surgery on her vocal cords in late 2019 after doctors discovered Reinke’s edema, a condition that causes swelling of the vocal folds and can affect the voice over time. While the surgery was a success, Miley admitted that the recovery and lifestyle adjustments have been ongoing.

“I had to stop smoking. I had to stop yelling at concerts the way I used to. I’ve changed my diet, my sleep, my entire lifestyle,” she shared. “My voice is everything to me. I won’t risk it again.”

What fans may not realize is how much effort Cyrus has put into protecting her health while maintaining her performance schedule. She’s embraced therapy, physical training, and even daily vocal exercises to keep her voice strong.

But the changes haven’t just been physical. “This journey has changed the way I see myself,” she said. “I’ve learned that slowing down and taking care of yourself isn’t weakness—it’s power.”

Fans have praised Cyrus for her honesty and strength. Social media has been flooded with supportive messages, many applauding her for shedding light on a condition that’s rarely talked about in the entertainment industry.

As for what’s next? Miley says she’s focusing on longevity over burnout. “I want to be doing this when I’m 60,” she smiled. “So I’m learning to play the long game.”
